In an interview with TalkTV, conducted by the famous journalist Piers Morgan, Trump warned that if world leaders are not careful enough, the world will slip into a nuclear war.

Trump also emphasised that the Russian invasion of Ukraine would not have happened if he had remained in the Oval Office of the White House.

- Our leaders are not smart. If they are not smart, then we are heading for a nuclear war - Trump said.

Trump estimated that Russian President Vladimir Putin uses the phrase "nuclear war" too often to provoke fear.

- It's a no-no, you shouldn't do that. And Putin does it on a daily basis. And everyone is scared. And the more frightened they are, the more often he mentions it - the former president of the USA pointed out.

Trump described the events in Ukraine as horrifying, after the host stated that Vladimir Putin was "an evil, genocidal monster".

- When I see all those people dying, all the destruction... It's such a senseless war - Trump underlined.
