Vehicles are often set on fire due to unprofessional repairs without a mechanic, experts warn, who advise how all this can be prevented. It sounds absurd, but water is the most common cause of fire in a car. Some vehicles would have caught fire while driving if the owner had not brought them to the mechanic.

- Water enters the electronics, comes into contact with the wires, increases the resistance and when we turn on the heating, a fire can occur - says Aleksandar Milutinović, a car electrician. 

If the electronic window winder does not work and a crack is heard, there is a high probability that the car will catch fire. A fire can break out even when the lights and air conditioning are not working. That is why everything should be checked regularly.

The electronics in the car are under constant voltage.

- A Citroen came to us, the hind lights didn't work. When we went to check the fuses we heard some buzzing, and when we opened we saw a spark. If the man had not come preventively, he would surely have caught fire somewhere while driving - Milutinović points out for RTS.
