MATEJ WAS DRUNK AND DRUGGED! Toxicological analysis completed!

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has determined that there are no grounds to suspect that the death of Croatian citizen Matej Periš (27) is a consequence of a  committed crime, having in mind all the circumstances ranging from his disappearance during the night between 30 and 31 December 2021 up until the discovery of his body on 18 May 2022 in the Danube River, near Ada Huja.

The body was found in the phase of advanced postmortem changes.

The circumstances that preceded the disappearance of Matej Periš, the statements of the persons who were in his company before the disappearance, along with the performed checks and the autopsy findings, do not indicate that his death was connected with any kind of violence.

Namely, the autopsy performed by the Institute of Forensic Medicine on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade stated that there were no injuries to the bones of the head, neck, torso or limbs on Matej Periš's body.

At the same time, the results of toxicological analyses showed the presence of toxic levels of amphetamines in the blood and organs, in addition to ethyl alcohol. Traces of cocaine and benzoylecgonine were also identified in the hair sample. The expertise was performed by a panel of three experts, forensic medicine specialists.

As a reminder, that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia have been intensively searching for him since the moment Periš disappeared, and have taken all measures and actions in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade to find Matej Periš and clarify all facts and circumstances of his disappearance.

Members of the Police Administration for the City of Belgrade, the Diving Unit of the Gendarmerie, the Criminal Police Administration, the Police Office for River Safety, as well as all police stations in the city of Belgrade were involved in the search for Matej Periš.
