Red Star F.C. is going to Russia and GETTING additional millions from Gazprom!

Red Star Belgrade will sign a new two-year contract with Gazprom, Zvezdan Terzić, the General Manager of the football club from Ljutice Bogdana Street, revealed. 

Unlike the previous contract, the Red-Whites will receive five million euros a year, instead of four.

- We have also agreed a friendly with Zenit St Petersburg, most likely to be played in Sochi on 3 July, as the dress rehearsal for the new season. We follow our state policy and accordingly we are proud to be able to maintain good contacts with our brothers in Russia - Terzić said.

He also pointed out that the Red-Whites would have financial stability in the long run and that Red Star Belgrade was close to generating revenues of 40-50 million euros a year.

- We will invest in the team like never before and, besides the trophies, the biggest benefit from the past season is the UEFA coefficient. The path to the Champions League and the Europa League is open and we will do everything to make use of that - Terzić pointed out.
