The NBA plans on making its competition in Europe in cooperation with FIBA, and sensational news about Serbia was launched by the Spanish "Marca".

According to the renowned Spanish newspaper, NBA Europe also has Belgrade in its plans.
Reportedly, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver points out London and Paris as potential centers for the development of this project, probably because they are cities where the basketball tradition is not that strong.
However, it is also added that other European capitals are in the game, among others, the capital of Serbia is mentioned among them.
- NBA Europe dreams of uniting Madrid, Barcelona, Moscow, Kaunas, Tel Aviv, Belgrade, Athens... All - the "Marca" website states.
However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, so it remains to be seen in the future whether the Spaniards have really brought an exclusive or whether Belgrade ended up on the list by simply listing out European cities.
What also remains a key question is how this NBA "conquest of Europe" will affect the Euroleague, which has been quite shaken lately.
